The 2022 Super Final will be hosted here
In 2022 the Super Final will also consist of 3 stages, and we will now start the countdown to find out, which songs will be present in Portugal towards the end of the year. Following each edition of 2022, the provisional list will be updated to reflect the current list of participating songs.
The 3 stages of the Super Final are:
PRELIMINARY ROUND:
All countries who did not win a medal this year and has participated in at least 3 editions and qualified for at least one final will be represented by their best placed song in 2022. These songs will enter the first stage - the Preliminary Round. An unlimited number of countries can take part with one song each in the first stage, and the 20 best placed songs will progress to the second stage.
Please note that the listed songs in this stage can be changed, if the country gets a better result later in the year. A country can, however, not lose their place in the Preliminary Round once that spot has been granted. If a country wins a medal, it will be promoted to one of the next stage, the Semi Finals or the Final, and will thus no longer feature in the Preliminary Round.
SEMI FINALS:
The 16 songs qualified from stage one will be joined by the Silver and Bronze Medallists from all 12 editions of Global Music in 2022 in two semi finals of 22 songs each.
The top 7 from each semi final will qualify for the third and final stage.
The listed songs are guaranteed a place in the Semi Finals.
GRAND FINAL:
This night we will crown another Super Champion.
The 14 qualifiers from the Semi Finals will join the 12 champions of 2022, so 26 songs will be competing for the honour in the Grand Final.
The listed songs are guaranteed a place in the Grand Final.
The 3 stages of the Super Final are:
