Countries receiving points from most juries / Denmark, 17

The jury vote was really close and exciting. Poland received the first top mark, but afterwards the lead changed hands 13 times with Netherlands, Monaco, Slovakia and Estonia all leading at some point. However, when all juries had voted, it was Poland who had received the most points, even creating a small margin to Slovakia, Denmark, Estonia and Monaco. The jury and televote top 5 had two countries in common: Estonia and Denmark. Neither of those were in the public's top 3, as the televote favoured Netherlands (who finished 8th with the juries) ahead of Germany (11th) and South Korea (7th). The points from the televote didn't make many changes to the final result though, and when Poland was the only country left to receive its points, they only needed 5 points to beat Denmark. That seemed doable, but in the end 5 points was exactly what they got, and so the winning margin ended up being only 1 point. Denmark won the silver, and Estonia took home the bronze medal with Netherlands and Slovakia rounding out the top 5, Rwanda reached their first final and finished a very respectable 11th.
Poland debuted in GM11 and had a tough start in the contest, not reaching the final until their 5th participation, when they also reached the top 10. A handful of other top 10 results came in the following editions, but Poland had to wait until GM40 for their first medal, when Cinek stood on the lowest step of the podium. In GM55 the Polish artist, Mateusz Ziólko, climbed one step further up the podium taking home the silver, and finally - on their 44th attempt, the Poles reached the top in GM58 with Robert M & Dirty Rush. Poland has gone through many HoDs over the years, making it difficult to create stability and so the medals has been few and far between. Since their first trophy Poland has thus only finished on the podium another 3 times, last time in GM203. The current HoD, Michal, is currently on his 4th stint as HoD for Poland, and after 164 entries, 91 finals, 36 top 10 results and a handful of medals, he can finally bring Poland their second gold medal. Well done Poland, EMO, Marissa and Michal!
