Welcome to Naples
"The Rhythm of La Dolce Vita"
Welcome to Naples, a city bursting with soul, flavor, and centuries of captivating history, where the vibrant energy of Southern Italy meets the timeless beauty of the Mediterranean coast. Set between the shadow of Mount Vesuvius and the sparkling waters of the Bay of Naples, this ancient city invites you to lose yourself in its labyrinthine streets, its rich cultural treasures, and its unforgettable cuisine.
Step into the historic heart of Naples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where crumbling palazzos, grand churches, and lively piazzas create a living mosaic of the past and present. Marvel at the stunning frescoes in the Naples Cathedral, wander through the atmospheric Spaccanapoli, and explore the mysterious underground world of Napoli Sotterranea, where the city's ancient secrets lie hidden beneath your feet.
Naples is a feast for the senses, and nowhere is that more true than at the dining table. This is the birthplace of pizza, and tasting an authentic Neapolitan margherita from a wood-fired oven is a culinary pilgrimage in itself. But the delights don't stop there—fresh seafood, creamy mozzarella di bufala, sweet sfogliatelle, and rich espresso served in lively cafés will leave you craving more with every bite and sip.
Art and history lovers will be enchanted by the city's extraordinary museums and galleries, from the world-renowned National Archaeological Museum, housing treasures from nearby Pompeii and Herculaneum, to the stunning artworks of the Capodimonte Museum. And just beyond the city lies an unparalleled wealth of day-trip destinations—from the ancient ruins of Pompeii and the luxurious villas of the Amalfi Coast to the idyllic islands of Capri and Ischia.
As the sun sets, Naples transforms into a city of passion and poetry, where music drifts from open windows and the golden lights of the bay reflecton the water like a dream. Whether you're exploring historic castles, sipping limoncello with locals, or watching Vesuvius glow in the twilight, every moment in Naples is infused with an irresistible charm.
So whether you're a history buff, a foodie, a romantic, or a curious wanderer, Naples promises a journey that is as exciting as it is unforgettable. Welcome to Naples – where every street tells a story, every meal is a masterpiece, and every heartbeat echoes with the rhythm of la dolce vita.

The Result
Countries receiving most 12 points / Sweden, 5
Countries giving 12 points to the winner / Monaco and Denmark
Countries receiving points from most juries / Netherlands, 23
Highest placing country not scoring a top mark / Ireland in 16th with 10 points from Iceland as highest mark
Lowest placing country scoring a top mark / Andorra in 23rd getting 12 points from Australia
Spain was awarded the first top mark and held the top spot through 3 juries before handing it off to Netherlands, who after another 3 juries handed it back to Spain. Iceland then shortly took the lead, but halfway through the jury vote, Netherlands reclaimed the top spot and never let go of it again. They won the jury vote by a 20 points margin ahead of Iceland, Poland, Sweden and South Korea. But this time the televote was the biggest one ever with 14 countries submitting their votes. Would they have a different opinion? Yes! None of the televote's top 5 were even in the top 10 with the juries! The public favoured Czech Republic who had only finished 19th with the juries. They were closely followed by recent champion Belgium (14th with the juries), Germany (16th), Ukraine (12th) and Norway (11th). Netherlands only finished 13th in the televote, but since Iceland did even worse and placed second to last, the Dutch managed to hold on the lead and claim victory. Sweden took the silver and the bronze went to Spain, while Poland and Iceland rounded out the all important top 5.
Netherlands was one of the founding members of Global Music, but they had to wait until their 99th participation to win the big trophy! Their first top 10 result was achieved in GM07, and the first medal - one of bronze - came in GM09. It has, however, always been up and down for Netherlands, and they have missed the final in almost every third participation. They have also come very close to victory before, winning 4 silver medals, first claimed by Glennis Grace in GM29 and then followed by Petra Berger in GM42, Kim-Lian and Linda Bengtzing in GM49 and Mr Probz in GM106. And then finally in GM113 Lisa Lois finished on top bringing Global Music to Netherlands for the first time. A few more medals followed, before a new HoD took over the reigns in GM145. Netherlands then did really well with 25 top 10 finishes including 13 medals! They took home the trophy in GM152, when HAEVN collected most points and then again with Davina Michelle in GM159, Duncan Laurence in GM165, Ilse DeLange and Michael Schulte in GM179 and most recently Wulf in GM206. HAEVN came close to a second trophy, taking the silver in GM212, but this time they succeeded and now have 2 gold and 2 silver medals! Javier took over as HoD for the Dutch in GM205, so this is his second gold with Netherlands to go with the one he won for New Zealand. Well done Netherlands, HAEVN and Javier!

The Winner
"Gave It All" by HAEVN is a beautifully introspective track that showcases the band's signature blend of cinematic pop and heartfelt emotion. The song captures the feeling of giving everything for a dream or a relationship, only to face the uncertainty of whether it was enough. Its lyrics are reflective and sincere, portraying a quiet strength in vulnerability and perseverance.
Musically, "Gave It All" is built around soaring melodies, delicate instrumentation, and a slow-building intensity that creates a powerful emotional arc. The warm, emotive vocals paired with atmospheric production make the song both intimate and expansive, drawing listeners into its emotional journey.
Though "Gave It All" wasn't a massive commercial hit internationally, it performed well within Europe, especially in the Netherlands, where HAEVN has a dedicated fanbase. Its success came through steady streaming numbers, critical acclaim, and a strong emotional connection with listeners who appreciate its honest and cinematic sound.
