Welcome to Saint-Tropez
"The Sparkle of the Riviera"

Welcome to Saint-Tropez, the dazzling jewel of the French Riviera, where glamour, beauty, and the art of leisure blend seamlessly under the Mediterranean sun. Once a quiet fishing village, Saint-Tropez has become a legendary destination that captivates visitors with its timeless allure, vibrant energy, and unmistakable charm.

Stroll through the picturesque Old Port, where luxury yachts gleam beside colorful fishing boats, and the scent of sea air mingles with the aroma of fresh croissants from nearby cafés. The pastel façades of the waterfront shimmer in the sunlight, while artists set up their easels along the quays, capturing the magic of this coastal paradise. Just a short walk away, the cobblestone streets of La Ponche beckon with chic boutiques, art galleries, and intimate restaurants serving the finest Provençal cuisine.

Saint-Tropez is synonymous with luxury, yet it retains an authentic soul that enchants every visitor. Spend your days basking on the world-famous Pampelonne Beach, where golden sands and turquoise waters invite pure relaxation. Sip champagne at iconic beach clubs like Club 55, or unwind beneath a parasol as the gentle waves lap at your feet. For those seeking adventure, set sail on a private yacht or explore the surrounding hills and vineyards, where the scent of lavender and pine fills the air.

As the sun begins to set, Saint-Tropez transforms into a glittering haven of nightlife and elegance. The marina glows with the lights of exclusive bars and restaurants, where laughter and music spill into the warm evening air. Enjoy an exquisite dinner on a terrace overlooking the sea, savoring fresh seafood and fine wines as the stars emerge over the Riviera.

Yet beyond the glamour, Saint-Tropez offers a deep sense of history and culture. Visit the Citadel for panoramic views of the bay and a glimpse into the town’s maritime past, or wander through the Annonciade Museum, where masterpieces by Signac and Matisse reflect the light and colors that have inspired generations of artists.

Whether you come for the sun-drenched beaches, the stylish boutiques, the vibrant nightlife, or the simple pleasure of wandering its charming streets, Saint-Tropez promises a truly unforgettable escape. Welcome to Saint-Tropez – where the essence of the French Riviera shines brightest and every moment feels like a celebration of life.

9 Highlights

  1. The Old Port (Vieux Port) of Saint-Tropez, lined with pastel-colored facades and luxury yachts, is the heart of the town’s glamour, where artists once painted and today’s jet set gathers at waterfront cafés
  2. The Citadel of Saint-Tropez, a 17th-century fortress overlooking the bay, offers panoramic views of the Mediterranean and houses a maritime museum detailing the town’s seafaring past
  3. The Pampelonne Beach, stretching for five kilometers, is the area’s most famous strand, known for its turquoise waters, chic beach clubs like Club 55, and celebrity summer crowds
  4. The Place des Lices, shaded by plane trees, is a quintessential Provençal square where locals play pétanque, and weekly markets sell flowers, produce, and handmade goods
  5. The Annonciade Museum, housed in a former chapel, exhibits works by Signac, Matisse, and Bonnard, celebrating the town’s artistic heritage as a cradle of the early 20th-century avant-garde
  6. The Gassin village, perched on a hill just outside Saint-Tropez, offers breathtaking views of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and narrow flower-lined streets among medieval stone houses
  7. The Port Grimaud lagoon town, often called the “Venice of Provence,” features colorful houses, small bridges, and canals designed for picturesque waterside living
  8. The Cap Camarat headland, near Ramatuelle, is one of the highest points on the Riviera coast, with a scenic lighthouse trail offering stunning views of the sea and Esterel Mountains

The Result

Countries receiving most 12 points / Denmark, Italy and Turkey, 4
Countries giving 12 points to the winner / Denmark and Russia
Countries receiving points from most juries / Denmark, 21
Highest placing country not scoring a top mark / Germany in 7th with 10 points from Liberia as highest mark
Lowest placing country scoring a top mark / South Korea in 23rd getting 12 points from Spain

The lead changed several times throughout the jury vote, but it was always centered around the northwest of the European mainland. Liechtenstein came out of the starting blocks running and took turns on the top of the scoreboard with Germany for a while. The lead was then passed on to Belgium, Denmark and finally Netherlands, who ended up as the jury winner ahead of Libya, Ukraine, Czech Republic and Switzerland. Interestingly, the rest of the top 5 had never been in the lead, but they were all within striking distance going into the televote. The public placed Netherlands just outside their top 5, so could any of the other countries leapfrog the jury favorite? The televote awarded most points to first-time finalist, Libya, but they were closely followed by China (only 19th with the juries), Belgium (8th), Denmark (6th) and Turkey (14th). Still the support for Libya among the public was big enough for the North African country to sprint to the victory with a comfortable lead over Netherlands. Belgium just edged out Denmark for the bronze, and Ukraine rounded out the top 5.

Libya actually debuted back in GM76, but they failed to qualify for the final and then that was that until last edition when they returned for a second try. Again they failed to qualify, but they were so close that they decided to have another go - and what a great decision! Not only did Libya make it to the final for the first time - they sprinted their way to the trophy! Having competed in Global Music every single edition since GM70, this is the first victory for Libyan HoD Adam! Well done Libya, Bahjat and Adam!

"Taboo" by Bahjat is a moody and evocative pop track that blends emotional vulnerability with a sleek, contemporary sound. The song explores the tension of wanting something - or someone - that feels off-limits, capturing the push-and-pull between desire and restraint. Its lyrics convey both longing and inner conflict, creating a relatable portrait of forbidden attraction and the feelings we try to hide.

Musically, "Taboo" is built on smooth vocals, atmospheric production, and a hypnotic groove that enhances its intimate tone. Bahjat’s expressive delivery adds depth to the song, allowing the emotional nuances to shine through while maintaining a polished pop sensibility.

In terms of reception, "Taboo" performed well within Bahjat’s growing international audience, especially across online platforms where his distinct “A-Pop” style continues to gain recognition. The song’s emotional honesty and modern production helped it stand out, reinforcing Bahjat’s position as an emerging voice in contemporary pop.
