Once again the lead changed hands several times during the voting, with 8 different countries holding the lead at some point. In the end Sweden finished on top after a close race, leaving the silver to debuting Hungary and the bronze to Spain. Bosnia-Herzegovina and Romania rounded out the top 5.
Sweden has taken part in all editions so far and kicked off their Global Music career with a gold medal for One More Time. For the next couple of editions they finished outside the top 10, only to bounce back in GM04, winning the silver, and then another gold in GM06 for Jessica Folcker. Their second victory was followed by several other top 10 results and now, in their 12th participation, Sweden becomes the first countro to become Triple Global Music Champion. Well done Sweden, Basshunter and Pascal!
