Presentation

Pablo Moreno de Alborán Ferrándiz, known simply as Pablo Alborán, was born on May 31, 1989, in Málaga, Spain. A self-taught guitarist and an early songwriter—he began composing songs around age 12—he grew up deeply rooted in the flamenco and pop traditions of Andalusia, nurturing a sincere emotional style.

He first gained widespread attention in 2010 by uploading songs like "Solamente Tú" to YouTube. His debut album, Pablo Alborán (2011), topped the Spanish charts in its first week, making him the first Spanish solo artist to debut at number one in over a decade. The lead single became a major hit in Spain and Mexico, while the live acoustic follow-up, En Acústico, solidified his reputation as a heartfelt performer.

His second studio album, Tanto (2012), featured sweeping ballads and flamenco-tinged pop songs and achieved multi-platinum status. He continued this success with Terral (2014) and Prometo (2017), the latter reflecting his intent "to make music until death"—a promise to fans and to himself. Vértigo (2020) arrived during the pandemic, marked by introspection and vulnerability, then La Cuarta Hoja (2022) became his sixth consecutive studio album to reach number one in Spain.

Known for his soulful voice and emotionally rich songwriting, Pablo blends Latin pop, flamenco, and romantic balladry. With over 1.8 million albums sold—many certified multi-platinum—he has become one of Spain’s most successful artists of his generation. Internationally, he has toured across Europe, Latin America, and the U.S., captivating audiences with stripped-down performances and powerful stadium shows.

Pablo’s accolades include numerous awards and nominations, such as Latin Grammy nods and a Goya Award for Best Original Song. He publicly came out in 2020, becoming a respected voice for authenticity and representation in the Spanish-speaking music world. His music explores themes of love, self-discovery, hope, and emotional resilience, resonating deeply with a broad audience.

Balanced by his grounded persona offstage, Pablo remains deeply connected to his Andalusian roots and a loyal fan base. With each album, performance, and personal milestone, he continues to evolve as an artist, demonstrating emotional depth and lyrical sincerity that define his ongoing impact on contemporary music.
