St. Sophia’s Cathedral in Kyiv, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, dates back to the 11th century and is one of the most important monuments of Kyivan Rus. Its striking green-and-gold domes rise above the city, while the interior preserves remarkable Byzantine mosaics and frescoes.

Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, Kyiv

The Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, also known as the Monastery of the Caves, is a vast Orthodox monastic complex founded in 1051. Its golden-domed churches, bell towers, and underground catacombs overlooking the Dnipro River make it one of Ukraine’s most revered religious sites.

Historic Centre, Lviv

Odessa Opera and Ballet Theatre

The Odessa Opera and Ballet Theatre is a masterpiece of neo-baroque architecture and one of the most beautiful theatres in Eastern Europe. Its richly decorated façade, grand staircase, and chandelier-lit auditorium reflect the city’s long cultural and artistic traditions.

Tunnel of Love, Klevan

The Tunnel of Love near Klevan is a railway track enclosed by dense green arches of trees, forming a natural leafy corridor. Especially picturesque in spring and autumn, it has become one of Ukraine’s most romantic and photographed spots.

Kamianets-Podilskyi Castle

Kamianets-Podilskyi Castle stands dramatically on a rocky island surrounded by the deep canyon of the Smotrych River. With its towers, stone walls, and medieval gates, it is one of the most impressive and best-preserved fortresses in Ukraine.

Carpathian Mountains

The Carpathian Mountains in western Ukraine offer forested slopes, wooden villages, and the traditions of the Hutsul highland culture. The region is popular for skiing in Bukovel and for summer hiking around Mount Hoverla, the country’s highest peak.

Chernobyl Exclusion Zone

The Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in northern Ukraine preserves the haunting remains of the 1986 nuclear disaster. Guided visits include the abandoned city of Pripyat, the towering Duga radar installation, and the protective structure covering Reactor 4.

Sofiyivka Park, Uman

Sofiyivka Park in Uman, founded in 1796, is a romantic landscape garden filled with lakes, waterfalls, grottoes, and classical sculptures. Designed as a tribute of love by a Polish nobleman to his wife, it is often regarded as one of the most beautiful parks in Eastern Europe.
