The 2023 Super FinalIt is once again time for the annual Super Final!
The format has been slightly changed from last year, introducing duels in the first 2 stages. This should make the whole process of selecting the best song of 2023 smoother and faster, as you will only have to choose your favourite of two songs in each duel instead of having to create top tens in all stages. The Super Final will still consist of 3 stages, and in the Grand Final it will be business as usual with the magic 12 points! This year we have 66 songs in the running for the ultimate honour of being crowned as the best song in Global Music in 2023. Any country participating at least 3 times in 2023 and reaching at least 1 final without winning a medal will have its best placed song entered into the Super Final's Stage 1. Note that in order to have an even number of songs in stage 1, a wild card has been awarded to Suriname as the country with the best single result in GM in 2023, of any country not meeting the above mentioned demands to enter into Stage 1. Of the 30 songs in this round, the 15 winners of the duels plus one wild card will move forward to Stage 2 where they will join the 24 Silver and Bronze medal-winning songs of 2023. Again the 40 songs will be paired in duels, sending 20 winners on to Stage 3: The Grand Final. This year we are in Cluj-Napoca, as AMI won the 2022 Super Final. From BT Arena we are ready to kick off Stage 1 to find out which songs will progress to Stage 2. Don't miss out on having your say, when we crown the best song in 2023! Check it out here and vote before January 5th |
I'm wishing my whole Global Music family a Happy New Year!
I hope you will all have a splendid evening, celebrating in style with people dear to you.
May 2024 bring each and everyone of you lots of happiness
and a lot of great music to Global Music!

Olympic Medal Table
The Statistics section has always had a medal table to show how well each country is doing. There are both annual and all time lists.
The medal tables count points from each edition. The winner is awarded 12 points, the runner up 10 points, third place 8 points and then down to 1 point for 10th place. On the new Olympic medal table the countries with most gold medals are ranked the highest, as you know it from the Olympics. The GM version does, however, also rank countries with no medals, so go check it out to see who has the most victories. Olympic Medal Table |
